    Professional Practice:

    Commercial Recreation: Since 1989, as President of the Ember Group Inc., a recreation and sports-related S-corporation featuring tennis instruction, merchandizing, and tournament direction.

    Public Recreation: Sixteen years directing tennis instruction, tennis camps, and leagues for Kent (through 2006), and Ravenna (through 2005), municipal parks & recreation departments.  Created the Kent Parks & Recreation tennis instruction program in 1988, after successfully applying for a $500 grant from the United States Tennis Association (USTA).

    Sports Administration: Thirteen years as a men’s and women’s high school head tennis coach (Coach of the year, 1997; 100 career victories, 2000; retired 2006); since 1988 as Portage County Open Tennis Tournament director, five years as the Portage Area Community Tennis Association executive director; and tournament director for the Tri-County Senior Olympics tennis tournament (2004-2006).

    Tourism: Three years serving on the Streetsboro Visitors and Convention Bureau Board of Trustees (2004-2006), its various committees, as Treasurer, and most recently as President.
