Course Description

In this course we will cover lessons 6 to 11 and explore different aspects of German through various language activities (listening comprehension, reading, writing and simple conversation). We will continue practicing pronunciation and studying grammatical and syntactical patterns.

Also, we will talk about many cultural aspects of German-speaking countries in order to understand better the language context. Various language activities listed above will make our classes interesting and enjoyable.

The use of contemporary texts will broaden your vision of social and cultural life in German speaking countries. Your vocabulary will be expanded with terminology from different areas of German social life, sports, health, etc. At the end of this course, you should be able to function in a greater variety of every day language situations.

In order to achieve these goals you will explore grammar and syntax at a deeper level. We will emphasize the process of learning German as a Second Language and create a stabile foundation for intermediate studies.
