Location: 9 am - DH306/ 12 pm - DH 208

Description

Geol 1 covers the examination of geologic processes and materials, including volcanoes, earthquakes, rock formation, oceans, streams, plate tectonics and their importance to society.

Our planet is a grand and dynamic family of systems that provides us with resources for life and enjoyment on Earth. Geology provides the mountains we ski on, the rivers we raft down, the valley soil we grow our food from, the sand we sunbathe on at the beach, and even that perfect wave we surf. In this class you will learn the materials and processes that have formed Earth, and how they continue to construct and reconstruct the environment around us. This course will change the way you look at the world.
