Professor Rajan teaches in the areas of international business, marketing management and marketing strategy. His research interests are on comparative economic and management systems, national (corporate) competitiveness and strategic advantage, managing structural decline, consumer logistics, and electronic commerce. He is currently researching modes of rivalry between multinational firms and local enterprises in emerging markets such as India and China, and the application of a consumer logistics framework to the proposed high speed rail system in California.
