History and use of fingerprints in criminal identification. Topics include the scientific basis for fingerprint ID, anatomy of friction ridge skin, pattern classification, minutiae marking, the Henry System, AFIS and ACE-V, and court presentation of fingerprint evidence. Prerequisite: Justice Studies or Forensic Science major; Justice Studies minor.
