Description
The course covers that nation’s history since prior to the arrival of the Portuguese to the present. The first half deals with the colonial and imperial periods and the second with the Republics (since 1889). It focuses on major political changes, such as independence, wars, popular uprisings, and systems of government and it will highlight important leaders.
