Bio

Sean Laraway is a Professor in the Department of Psychology and adjunct faculty in the MS Program in Human Factors/Ergonomics. He is the Director of the SJSU-NASA Human Factors Project in the Human Systems Integration Division (Code TH) at NASA Ames Research Center. His research interests include learning, motivation, behavior analysis, behavioral pharmacology, human factors/ergonomics, research methods, data analysis, online education, and consumer behavior. He earned his PhD in the experimental analysis of behavior from Western Michigan University in 2003. He has taught at SJSU since 2004. His work has appeared in a variety of journals, including Journal of Applied Behavior AnalysisJournal of the Experimental Analysis of BehaviorThe Analysis of Verbal BehaviorPharmacology Biochemistry and BehaviorJournal of Consumer MarketingThe Psychological RecordExperimental and Clinical Psychopharmacology, and Perspectives on Behavior Science. He is a member of the Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI), the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES), the California Association of Behavior Analysis (CalABA), and an affiliate member of APA Division 21 Applied Experimental Psychology and Division 25 Behavior Analysis. He is a past member of the editorial board of Perspectives on Behavior Science (formerly The Behavior Analyst) and Behavior Analysis: Research and Practice. He is a Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist (CEAS) I and II (from The Back School).
