Bio

Susana has taught in the department of Interdisciplinary Social Sciences at SJSU for six years now, teaching introductory Women's Studies Courses, Social Science Method, and a Women & Technology course for the College of Engineering. She is also a doctoral candidate in Religious Studies at Stanford University, writing a dissertation on Chicana/o Catholic religious identities based on ten years of fieldwork in East San Jose.

Susana is a third generation Chicana (Mexican American) born in East L.A. and raised in Orange County. She graduated from Occidental College in Los Angeles, and holds an Masters in Theological Studies from Harvard University.
