Bio
Dr. Camagna received her doctorate in Organizational/Developmental Psychology from the University of San Francisco. Her research interests are in the area of geropsychology, health and wellness for older women, and human development. She is currently consulting in the greater Phoenix, AZ area.
Dr. Camagna has been a faculty member in the Psychology Department since 1995. She has taught a wide variety of courses in the fields of psychology and health science, including psychology of aging, child psychology, management psychology, human sexuality, and psychology of women. She also developed and taught San Jose State University's first Community Mental Health and Women's Health courses. In addition, she served as the Undergraduate Director in the Health Science Department from 2002-2005. Her philosophy as an educator is one of lifelong learning. She was the recipient of the 2005 College of Applied Sciences and Arts Outstanding Lecturer Award. Dr. Camagna has been a member of several campus and community advisory groups, including the Student Health Service Advisory Committee, the Santa Clara County Elder Abuse Task Force, Santa Clara Unified Older Adult Education Program, and the Council on Aging of Silicon Valley.
