Description
Rubrics are communication tools as well as performance scoring tools in a course. When designed and implemented effectively, students will be able to understand the criteria for the learning outcomes and the instructor's expectations for the varies degree of mastery of the outcomes. In this workshop participants will learn to differentiate the different types and purposes of rubrics; recognize and manipulate the components in these rubrics; select appropriate existing rubrics from rubric resources for future customization; and discuss effective uses of rubrics. We will also explore using technology as tools to develop rubric.
