Bio:

Lisa Bernasconi received her B.A. in 1996 and M.A. in 1999 from the Philosophy Department at San Jose State University. She has been teaching in the Department of Philosophy for four years after a career as an insurance agent and broker in Salinas, California, where she grew up.

Mrs. Bernasconi's areas of interest in philosophy are Ethics, Political Philosophy and Metaphysics. She has taught courses in Professional and Business Ethics, Logic and Critical Thinking, Science, Technology and Human Values, and Introduction to Philosophy. She is excited to be teaching a course in Philosophy and Literature for the first time in the Spring 2004 semester.

Mrs. Bernasconi met her husband Robert at San Jose State University, when they were both enrolled in Professor Doug Henslee's British Empiricism course.
