The Everett, Nancy, and Phyllis Ward Washington DC Internship is administered by the Political Science Department to create congressional internship opportunities for two students to spend a summer in Washington, DC. The summer stipend of $3,800 helps pay for housing, travel, and living expenses. Applications for summer 2015 are due Monday February 23 by 4pm in the Political Science Department office, Clark Hall 471. Applicants should submit the following:

  • Résumé
  • An essay on why you want to intern with Congress
  • Transcript
  • A graded paper from one of your classes (min. 3 pages)
  • SJSU Faculty References (letters are not required)
