The Everett, Nancy, and Phyllis Ward Washington DC Internship is administered by the Political Science Department to create congressional internship opportunities for students to spend a summer in Washington, DC. The summer stipend of up to $3,500 helps pay for housing, SJSU fees, travel, etc. Applications are accepted through mid-February each year. Interested students should submit the following to the department by mid-February:

 

• Resume

• An essay on why you want to intern with Congress

• Transcript

• A graded paper from one of your classes (min. 3 pages)

• SJSU Faculty References (letters are not required)
