The Everett, Nancy, and Phyllis Ward Washington DC Internship is administered by the
Political Science Department to create congressional internship opportunities for
two students to spend a summer in Washington, DC. The summer stipend of $4,300 helps
pay for housing, travel, and living expenses. You may apply online for this application
Scholarships (for housing and travel) are awarded to political science majors only; graduating seniors may apply. Students may also earn up to 4 units of academic credit.

Applicants should submit the following:
- 1-2 page essay on why you want to intern with Congress
- Unofficial SJSU transcript
- A graded paper from one of your classes (min. 3 pages)
- Two SJSU Faculty References (letters are not required)
