Dr. Kenneth Peter came to our faculty in 1990 via Stanford and Princeton. Ken's specialty is political theory: he studies historical Western political thought, contemporary democratic theory, ecophilosophy and (some) Asian political thought. He also has a strong interest in American Politics. Ken's goal in teaching is to get his students to think critically in the best tradition of liberal education -not to memorize quantities of political trivia. When he is not teaching, writing, haunting the Academic Senate or helping to care for two small children, Ken occasionally finds the time for some hiking and photography.
