Roy E. Young Scholarship

Award amount: $1,500

The Roy E. Young Scholarship was established by friends and former students of Roy E. Young in appreciation of his inspiring teaching and mentoring, and for his constant and enthusiastic interest in politics. This scholarship is designated for students majoring in US Politics. Applicants should be full-time Political Science majors taking a minimum of 12 units.

Applicants for the Roy Young Scholarship must submit the following:

  • a short typed, double-spaced essay on a book or books about U.S. politics that inspired them to pursue a political science major.
    Please note that essays will not be returned.

Awarded in odd-numbered years (i.e. 2011)

This scholarship uses the Common Spring Application.
