"My first observation was that we should be proud of the quality and dedication of these young men and women who juggle academics, workouts, practice and competitions every day. This takes extraordinary concentration, time management skills, and sheer human effort. My second observation was that our coaches are focused on seeing that student-athletes are successful in the classroom as well as in the performance arena. My third observation was these student-athletes can eat a lot of hamburgers and hot dogs (to keep up their energy, I presume)."
