Student Media News Conference

Today, President Whitmore will take part in his first student media news conference. Spartan Daily and Update News (SJSU print and TV news, respectively) meet with the president for an hour monthly when classes are in session to discuss various issues. There is no agenda; student journalists are free to ask questions on any topic. While such news conferences with the president have been a tradition at San José State for some time, the webcast is a relatively new component, piloted last spring and now a permanent part of the program.
