February 11, 1982
To: All Faculty and Staff
From: President Gail Fullerton
Subject: Robert D. Clark Library Dedication
Please join me and other members of the University Community at ceremonies dedicating the Robert D. Clark Library Friday, February 19, 1982, 2 p.m. on the South Lawn near the main entrance to the Library. In the event of rain, the dedication will be in Morris Dailey Auditorium.
The dedication program will feature a fond remembrance of President Emeritus Clark by Academic Vice President Hobert Burns and view of the Library by noted California historian and Sutro Librarian Emeritus Richard Dillon. The complete program is attached.
Following the dedication, you are also invited to an informal reception in the lobby of the Clark Library. Tours and information about the new facility will also be available.
Classes meeting during that period of time may be dismissed so that faculty and students can attend the dedication, unless in the judgment of the instructor there is a compelling academic reason for a particular class to meet. Classes meeting before or after the time period specified should meet as usual. Provided that essential services are maintained, employees of the support staff and administration are invited to attend the dedication.
I hope you will attend and help make the dedication a memorable event.
