Adobe Software for ALL SJSU Faculty and Staff

San Jose State University is partnering with local technology companies to help faculty and staff use technology for their educational mission. Faculty and staff now are able to acquire Adobe software design packages at no cost. One copy of either Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design Premium (Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, etc.) or Adobe Creative Suite 6 Master Collection (with additional video and audio editing tools) may be requested from the relevant desktop technician. A second copy may be downloaded from the Adobe Software Program webpage for use on a home computer.  


Students, registered by professors in courses requiring Adobe, will be able to download the software at no cost. If professors want students to use this software for their courses, they will need to register the courses if they haven’t already done so, with IT through the online form.  Only students in those designated courses will be able to download the CS6 packages at first.

Licensing Information

Adobe Creative Suite 6 has been licensed for a 3-year period. The software may only be used for SJSU business, not outside commercial purposes, other than the interests and mission of San Jose State University.

Learning the Software

There will be faculty workshop training available for some of the software in the Adobe Suites. There are also self-support materials available online such as the videos in Adobe TV and 3500 educational modules at Adobe Education Exchange. Faculty should plan on supporting their own students if they are using Adobe in the classroom.
