Each year, the Academic Affairs Division hosts events that celebrate the dedication and accomplishments of students, faculty and staff at San Jose State.
Academic Affairs Division Staff Appreciation Breakfast

The annual Academic Affairs Division Staff Appreciation Breakfast offers a chance for administrators and mangers to give kudos to their staff. The fall celebration has also served as a food drive in recent years, with 2015's event benefitting the Student Hunger Fund.

Honors Convocation kicks off the end of the year celebration by honoring top students. In Spring 2016, 3,714 students earned the distinction of being a Dean’s Scholar by maintaining a 3.65 GPA in two contiguous semesters of the last three semesters while 413 students earned the distinction of being a President's Scholar.

The Faculty Service Recognition and Awards Luncheon honors faculty who have served 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45 and occasionally 50 or more years at San Jose State. The President's Scholar Award, the Distinguished Service Award, Outstanding Professor Award and Outstanding Lecturer Award are given out each year at the event.
