University Scholar Series


The University Scholar Series is co-sponsored by the Office of the Provost, the University Library, the Office of Research, Faculty Affairs, and the Spartan Bookstore. This series provides a unique opportunity for showcasing the important research and scholarly activities of SJSU faculty members.

The Cheruzel Research Lab focuses on light-driven biocatalysts to meet the demand for green and sustainable synthesis of pharmaceuticals, fragrances, and fine chemicals. Several generations of biocatalysts, which have all been developed over the years by SJSU undergraduate research students in the laboratory, will be presented.
