Effective Fall 2005, the combined Social Work Programs (BSW and MSW) will be elevated to a School of Social Work. The School will be housed in the College of Applied Sciences and the Arts, where it fits in well with the other professional schools and mental and physical health programs, such as nursing, occupational therapy, nutrition and food science and gerontology.
In addition, the Department of Urban and Regional Planning will join the College of Social Sciences. During this academic year, the Departments of African American Studies and Mexican American Studies will also join the College of Social Sciences. All faculty and staff positions and degree programs remain unchanged.
