Appointment: Associate Vice President for Institutional Research
Dr. Sutee Sujitparapitaya
It is with pleasure that I announce the appointment of Dr. Sutee Sujitparapitaya as the Associate Vice President for Institutional Research. He will assume his duties effective August 1, 2006
Dr. Sujitparapitaya currently serves as the Director of Institutional Research at Sacramento State where he provides effective management and leadership for institutional research and assessment programs. Before coming to Sacramento State in 2001, he served as the Director of Institutional Research and Decision Support at Kent State University (Ohio). He had also served as the Director of Systems Administration in Enrollment Services at The University of Memphis (Tennessee) where his leadership led to the successful implementation of the Enrollment Services Information Systems (ESIS), including divisional data marts and on-line EIS-like reporting systems to support recruiting and enrollment strategies.
During the years of his administrative tenure at Sacramento State, the following university-wide projects were developed and implemented under his leadership: Electronic (Institutional and Departmental) Portfolios, Student Affairs Assessment, Learning Styles and Motivated Strategies Project, Degree Roadmaps, and the WASC Required Data Element Repository.
Dr. Sujitparapitaya earned his Ph.D. in Business Administration concentrating in Management Information Systems from The University of Memphis. His other degrees include an MBA in Finance and International Business from Emporia State University (Kansas), an MS in Computer Information Systems from Middle Tennessee State University, and a BA in Public Administration from Thammasart University (Bangkok, Thailand). Throughout his professional career, Dr. Sujitparapitaya has maintained an active research and teaching schedule in areas of Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence, Data Mining Technology in Higher Education, Research Methods and Applications, and IT Governance and Project Management.
