BS in Psychology

The following are the requirements of the BS (rather than the BA). The BS is designed to provide a more intensive research focus appropriate for those intending to pursue a research career in Psychology.

C. ELECTIVES (6 Units)

Typically any two Psychology courses (must have PSYC or STAT prefix).

Note: A maximum of three units can be lower-division (<100 or community college)

D. COURSES IN SUPPORT OF THE MAJOR (12 Units)

One (1) course from Human biology (BIOL 021; includes lab) or Human Anatomy (BIOL 65; includes lab)

Three (3) courses from : Biology 101, Biology 109, Chem 1A or 30A, Chem 1b or 30B, Phil 110, and/or Phil 160
