Presenter Resources
Oral Presentations
Audiovisual Equipment
- PC and LCD projector with Powerpoint, Adobe Acrobat, and Media Player will be available for presenter use.
- Presenters using the projection system should either:
- send their file(s) to the faculty advisor (clifton.oyamot@sjsu.edu) prior to the conference, or
- bring all files to the conference on a flashdrive or CD.
- To facilitate set-up and presentations, presenters should bring their files 20 minutes prior to the official start of the morning session or during the poster session.
- Macintosh formats are currently not supported.
At the Meeting
- Oral presentations will be 15 minutes long followed by a 5 minute question and answer session.
- Timers at the front of the audience will signal speakers about the time remaining (e.g., "3 minutes left" and "Wrap Up)
Poster Presentations
Basic Equipment
- Posters will be mounted on 5'10" (1.75 m) wide and 3'10" (1.15 m) high corkboards.
- Table-top or self-standing poster boards cannot be accommodated.
- Pushpins will be provided.
- A few copies of your poster or a sign-up sheet for viewers interested in getting a copy of your research is recommended
At the Meeting
- Fifteen minutes prior to the start of your session, post your materials on your assigned board and leave them in place for the full session.
- Authors should be present during the entire poster session (~1.5 hr).
