Abstract Submissions

Eligibility

All graduate and undergraduate students involved in psychological research or related fields are encouraged to apply. Each student must have a faculty sponsor.

Priority for acceptance of a submission is as follows (ranked highest to lowest):

  1. Submissions based on completed research
  2. Submissions based on ongoing research projects
  3. Submissions based on proposals* for future research
    *These represent fully developed research plans, including rationale, hypotheses, methods, and predicted results.

Work presented in abstracts must conform with the applicable policy and principles for experimental procedures (e.g., Human Subjects or Non-Human Animals IRB approval).

 

Submission Process

Note: Submissions will not be accepted until after the Call for Abstracts (TBA - usually mid-January)

1. Download and complete the SPARC Submission Form (word document): SPARC Submission Form

2. Name the file using the following template:  sparc2010_[presenting author’s last name]

Example:  sparc2010_oyamot

3. Email the completed submission form to Dr. Clifton Oyamot with subject being "SPARC submission":  clifton.oyamot@sjsu.edu



The Structure of the Conference

We will be hosting both oral and poster presentations.


The conference will consist of morning and afternoon sessions, culminating with a keynote address from our invited speaker.
