HIST 197/205 Introduction to Public History (Spring Semester Only): Introduction
to preservation and presentation of history to the community and to roles historians
play in public agencies. Exploration of archives, museums and historic sites. Required
for admission to Public History Internship or faculty approval.
HIST 199: Public History Internship (Summer & Fall for Fall Semester Credit): Supervised
placement in historical organizations, public institutions and community agencies
concerned with preservation of history. May be repeated for 6 unit maximum.
