Our Mission Statement:
Our mission is to serve the San Jose State University community by maintaining the integrity of student records, upholding and enforcing regulations relating to policies and explaining those policies to students, alumni, faculty, and staff through accurate, efficient services, delivered with respect and care.
Who do we serve?:
The Office of the Registrar services and supports all students, alumni, faculty and staff, with records and registration inquiries. We are responsible for maintaining the integrity and accuracy of student academic records.
Our services:
We are responsible for registration, grades, verification of enrollment and degree, official transcripts, residency determinations, reinstatement, undergraduate graduation (which includes diplomas), visitor/concurrent enrollment, Step-to-College, cross-enrollment, veterans services, and Student and Exchange Visitor Information System(SEVIS) program.
Our staff:
We are comprised of 4 teams; Student Information Services(SIS), Records, Transcripts and Graduation, in addition to our Specialists and Administrative officers.

Announcements
- Fall 2013 Advance Registration
- For continuing students: Registration appointments have been posted on MySJSU. Please logon to view your appointment date and time. Advance Registration for continuing students begins Tuesday, June 4 and ends Sunday, August 11 at 11:59 P.M. Please see Fall 2013 Registration Calendar for details. Registration's FAQs.
- For all new students: You will receive a registration appointment once we have: (1) verified you attended orientation and (2) reviewed your transcript to verify your CSU Eligibility. Due to high volume in the number of admitted students, this evaluation process can take 4-8 weeks. Typically, incoming transfer students do not receive registration appointments until mid-June or later.
- Thursday, August 1: Fall 2013 and Spring 2014 graduating seniors who have graduation applications on file with the Registrar’s Office on or before July 19, 2013 will be eligible to register for up to 18 units (Excess unit petition will be available only for this group of students who need more than 18 units. The maximum number of units allowed with a petition is 21.)
- Class of 2013 Graduates who plan to participate in the Commencement on Saturday, May 25, 2013. Please Submit your intent to Participate.
- First day of instruction for Summer is Monday, June 3. Last day to drop a class without a "W" grade is Wednesday, June 5. Last day to add a class is Monday, June 10.
- Summer 2013 Advance Registration will be starting from Monday, April 8 to Friday, May 24. Please check when is your Enrollment Appointment. Summer Registration Calendar.
