Sponsoring agencies sometimes restrict the number of applications or proposals that a campus can submit. Generally, limited submission programs allow the campus to submit only one or two proposals for each application cycle. SJSU and the SJSU Research Foundation internally coordinate the limited submission process to ensure that the institution does not exceed the allowable number of proposals. In summary, the limited submission process begins with submission of an internal SJSU Letter of Intent (LOI) to the department chair and dean. If approved by the chair and dean, goes to the associate vice president for Research for review. The associate vice president for Research reviews and makes decisions, with convened committee recommendations as needed.

Although this list is updated regularly, it may not include all available limited submission opportunities. This list should be used in conjunction with other grant opportunity resources, including online funding search databases, government agency websites, and on-campus funding resources.
