Course ProgressEnglishEnglish First semester LLD 1 students who earn a score of 7 on the departmental final will advance to LLD 2; students who earn a score of 8 and higher will advance to ENGL 1A. Student with a score of 6 and below will need to repeat LLD 1 for the second semester. MathematicsMathematics Students who pass MATH 3A in their first semester will advance to MATH 3B for the second semester. Students who pass MATH 6A in their first semester will advance to MATH 6B. Students who do not pass MATH 3A or 6A in their first semester will be placed in MATH 6R for the second semester. This is done to allow them the opportunity to complete the requirement within the prescribed one year. Students who do not pass MATH 6L during their first semester will be allowed to repeat it once. Those who do not pass either MATH 3B, 3R, 6B, 6L or 6D by the end of their first year will need to complete the ELM requirement at a community college before returning to SJSU. |
