Travis Campbell

Senior, philosophy and English major. Additional academic interests include education, photography, and mathematics. Extracurricular activities include serving as a resident advisor, peer mentoring, traveling, and writing. Future aspirations are to tour the world, attend graduate school, write and teach, and to eventually retire in Ireland as the owner of a used bookstore. Has worked as a server in a fondue restaurant and an Italian restaurant, and as a summer camp counselor.

Junior, business major. Also interested in international business, political science, and sociology. Enjoys dancing, volleyball and playing the piano. Future aspirations are to use her understanding of the world, life, and people in order to help create equal opportunity and sustainability. Has worked in the restaurant and hospitality industry and is currently working at a chiropractic facility.

Senior, biology major concentrating in molecular biology; chemistry minor. Would like to serve as an intern for a biotechnology company. Extracurricular activities include assisting various student organizations within the College of Science in their desire to become registered clubs. Has been working as a peer advisor with the Science 2 Program at San Jose State University.

Senior, psychology and advertising major. Additional academic interests include creative writing, design, human factors, and cognition. Extracurricular activities include membership PsiChi Psychology Honors Society, ODK National Honors Society, serving as a participant and planner of Campus MovieFest 2006, Apple Campus Representative, and a participant at the San Jose State University Achieving Greater Expectations Institute. Would like to find a job that allows him to travel and makes him happy in life. Work experience includes serving as an Apple Campus Representative and a San Jose State University Peer Mentor.

Annie Grabowski

Junior, behavioral science and sociology major. Additional interests consist of literature, cultural studies, social theory, and leadership theory. Is a member of Alpha Phi Omega, Associated Students, San Jose State University Board of Directors, Leadership Today, Fowler Leadership Academy, Future Farmers of America, and serves as a student assistant. Future aspirations are to earn an education and law degree from UCLA and to lobby for educational policy reform. Past work experience includes serving as a human resource analyst, resident advisor, and personal assistant. Currently employed as a director of community affairs.

Sahil Gulati

Junior, civil engineering major. Academic interests include international and development economics, social work, urban planning, and transportation. Extracurricular activities include cricket, tennis, table tennis, and reading about economics and globalization. Would like to become involved in organizations similar to the United Nations or World Bank in the future. Work experience includes serving as a student intern at Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority, an engineering trainee at Alameda County Public Works Agency, and a pharmacy cashier with Kaiser Permanente.

Julia Howes

Julia Howes

Senior, international business major. Academic interests also include non-profit management, event planning, global issues, community activism, and developing countries. Extracurricular activities include membership in Kappa Delta; serving as executive director for Up Till Dawn, a campus-wide fundraiser for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital; participating in Alternative Spring Break trips to New Orleans and Tijuana; and involvement with a number of additional organizations. Would like to pursue a career with an international non-profit organization promoting community activism, service learning, global relations, and benefiting youth.

Junior, kinesiology major. Additional academic interests include business, humanities, and literature. Extracurricular involvement and work experience includes serving as a peer mentor, resident advisor, and student assistant. Would like to manage a baseball stadium in California in the future.

Senior, aerospace engineering major. Additional academic interests include international business relations, project management, political science, and psychology. Serves as the president of San Jose State University’s Rugby Club and president of the Omega Honors Society.

Senior, public relations and kinesiology major with an emphasis on sports management; business and humanities minor. Extracurricular activities include, baseball, football, camping, and hiking. Future plans are to work in the public relations or community relations department with a major sports franchise. Has work experience as a peer mentor, MUSE Workshop coordinator, and lifeguard.

Senior, accounting major. Academic interests include international business, environmental studies and Chinese. Extracurricular activities include membership in Alpha Kappa Psi, Beta Alpha Psi, and the Financial Management Association. Future plans include attending graduate school to obtain a Certified Public Accountant license and to be educated on the world’s problems in order to make a difference. Enjoys meeting new people, taking pictures, and traveling. Work experience includes serving as an intern at NASA Ames Research Center and at Ernst & Young.

Jun Wan

Jun Wan

Junior, criminal justice studies and sociology major. Additional academic interests include community and domestic violence, group-based discrimination and inequality, history, human rights, music development, news and media, social movements, social change, political science, and social psychology. Enjoys playing the piano, cello, basketball, track and field, and canoeing. Future aspirations include being involved in social work while doing research on social problems, the criminal justice system, social inequality, juvenile justice, criminal delinquency, domestic violence, international law and peace, and the impact of a globalized economy on developing countries.
