SUMMER 2015

 

YEARLONG RESIDENCY CREDENTIAL PROGRAM ("YRP")

 

NOTE: DO NOT APPLY TO GRADUATE ADMISSIONS UNTIL AFTER SECONDARY EDUCATION NOTIFIES YOU TO LET YOU KNOW IF YOU'VE BEEN ACCEPTED TO THE SUMMER YEARLONG RESIDENCY PROGRAM.

    • If you get accepted, we'll have you apply to Graduate Admissions for the Summer '15 semester.
    • If you don't get accepted to the summer YRP, we'll let you know then if you've been accepted to the Fall "Flexible Program" and have you apply to Graduate Admissions for the Fall '15 semester.


DEADLINE: March 18th, 2015

  • Applicants who submit all Application Requirements (including a copy of your passed CSET scores) to Secondary Education by March 18th can be considered for the Yearlong Residency Program (YRP) which begins classes in Summer '15.

    There is an interview process for acceptance into the Yearlong Residency Program. Interviews will be scheduled as applications are received. Early applications are encouraged and accepted.

    • ONE ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT FOR THIS PROGRAM IS...
      Include a cover letter (one page, single spaced) outlining teaching and related experiences/skills you believe make you a good candidate for the Yearlong Residency Program.
    • The only pre-requisite that we are making an exception on is the Technology requirement -you have until the end of your first semester in the program to complete this requirement.

begin June 1st and end July 23rd,
meeting Mondays through Thursdays (4 days a week)
from 9:00am-12:00pm.

FALL 2015

SINGLE SUBJECT CREDENTIAL PROGRAM ("Flexible Program")

Priority Deadline: March 18th, 2015

  • Applicants who submit all Application Requirements to Secondary Education by the "Priority Deadline" of March 18th, 2015 can be considered for admission in time to register for classes during the advanced registration period. This guarantees the greatest flexibility in program planning and class scheduling. In addition, applicants who meet the Priority Deadline are eligible to be considered for the Yearlong Residency Program option which begin in Summer '15 (see details above, under the "Summer 2015" heading).

    [Note: If you're interested in the Summer '15 Yearlong Residency Program, do NOT apply to Graduate Admissions until after Secondary Education notifies you to let you know if you've been accepted to the summer program.]

Extended Deadline: May 27th, 2015

  • Applicants who cannot meet the "Priority Deadline" can still submit their Application Requirements (including applying to and being referred to us by Graduate Admissions) any time up until May 27th.  However, by missing the priority deadline, you will not be guaranteed a flexible program and class schedule, and may have to do a part-time load in your first semester.  You are advised to submit your application requirements as soon as possible as Program Plans and class scheduling are subject to availability.

  1. DEADLINE TO APPLY TO GRADUATE ADMISSIONS: April 1st, 2015
  2. DEADLINE TO SUBMIT ALL TRANSCRIPTS (and any other documents they may require) TO GRADUATE ADMISSIONS (Student Services Center): April 20th, 2015
  3. DEADLINE TO SUBMIT ALL Application Requirements TO SECONDARY EDUCATION (SH 301): May 27th, 2015

    • The only pre-requisite that we are making an exception on is the Technology requirement --you have until the end of your first semester in the program to complete this requirement.

SPRING 2016

DOMESTIC APPLICATION DEADLINE

  • November 12th, 2015 is the DEADLINE TO SUBMIT ALL Application Requirements to Secondary Education (SH 301) and the deadline to apply to Graduate Admissions at CSUMentor.edu, as well as submitting your official/sealed transcripts to Graduate Admissions (please do NOT go by the deadline on the Graduate Admissions website).
    • The only pre-requisite that we are making an exception on is the Technology requirement --you have until the end of your first semester in the program to complete this requirement.
