FALL 2016

SINGLE SUBJECT CREDENTIAL PROGRAM ("Flexible Program")

Priority Deadline: March 17th, 2016

  • Applicants who submit all Application Requirements to Secondary Education by the "Priority Deadline" of March 17th, 2016 can be considered for admission in time to register for classes during the advanced registration period. This guarantees the greatest flexibility in program planning and class scheduling. In addition, applicants who meet the Priority Deadline are eligible to be considered for the Yearlong Residency Program option which begin in Summer '16 (see details above, under the "Summer 2016" heading).

    [*PLEASE READ: If you applied for the Summer Yearlong Residency Program (YRP) and did not get accepted to that program and wish to apply for the Fall, you will then need to apply again to Graduate Admissions for the Fall semester (and pay the application fee again).]

Extended Deadline: May 26th, 2016

  • Applicants who cannot meet the "Priority Deadline" can still submit their Application Requirements (including applying to and being referred to us by Graduate Admissions) any time up until May 26th.  However, by missing the priority deadline, you will not be guaranteed a flexible program and class schedule, and may have to do a part-time load in your first semester.  You are advised to submit your application requirements as soon as possible as Program Plans and class scheduling are subject to availability.

  3. DEADLINE TO SUBMIT ALL Application Requirements TO SECONDARY EDUCATION (SH 301): May 27th, 2016

    • The only pre-requisite that we are making an exception on is the Technology requirement --you have until the end of your first semester in the program to complete this requirement.

SPRING 2017

  2. DEADLINE TO SUBMIT ALL Application Requirements TO THE DEPARTMENT OF TEACHER EDUCATION (SH 305): November 10th, 2016
  • The only pre-requisite that we are making an exception on is the Technology requirement --you have until the end of your first semester in the program to complete this requirement. 

 

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS DEADLINES [F-1 Visa]

  1. DEADLINE TO APPLY TO GRADUATE ADMISSIONS: October 1st, 2016
  2. DEADLINE TO SUBMIT ALL TRANSCRIPTS (and any other documents they may require) TO GRADUATE ADMISSIONS (Student Services Center): October 20th, 2016
  3. DEADLINE TO SUBMIT ALL Application Requirements TO TEACHER EDUCATION (SH 305): November 10th, 2016
    • The only pre-requisite that we are making an exception on is the Technology requirement --you have until the end of your first semester in the program to complete this requirement.

SUMMER 2017

 

YEARLONG RESIDENCY CREDENTIAL PROGRAM ("YRP")

 


DEADLINE: March 16th, 2017

  • Applicants who submit all Application Requirements (including a copy of your passed CSET scores) to Teacher Education by March 16th can be considered for the Yearlong Residency Program (YRP) which begins classes in Summer 2017.

    There is an interview process for acceptance into the Yearlong Residency Program. Interviews will be scheduled as applications are received. Early applications are highly recommended.

    • ONE ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT FOR THIS PROGRAM IS...
      Include a cover letter (one page, single spaced) outlining teaching and related experiences/skills you believe make you a good candidate for the Yearlong Residency Program.
    • The only pre-requisite that we are making an exception on is the Technology requirement -you have until the end of your first semester in the program to complete this requirement.

The Yearlong Residency Program is only open to students who can be full-time in the Fall & Spring semesters.

The Summer '17 classes
begin the first week of June and end the last week of July,
meeting Mondays through Thursdays (4 days a week)
from 9:00am-12:00pm.*

INTERNSHIP CREDENTIAL PROGRAM

There is an interview process for acceptance into the Yearlong Residency Program. Interviews will be scheduled as applications are received. Early applications are highly recommended.

      Include a cover letter (one page, single spaced) outlining teaching and related experiences/skills you believe make you a good candidate for the Yearlong Residency Program.
    • The only pre-requisite that we are making an exception on is the Technology requirement -you have until the end of your first semester in the program to complete this requirement.
