Please scroll down this page to find the deadlines for the semester and program option to which you are interested in applying. 

 

SPRING 2017

 SINGLE SUBJECT CREDENTIAL PROGRAM
   ("Flexible Program")

 

DOMESTIC APPLICATION DEADLINE

1. Deadline to Apply and Submit all required documents to: 

  • To Graduate Admissions (at the Student Services Center): November 1, 2016
    *NOTE: Adhere to our November 1st Deadline.  Do NOT rely on the November 20th deadline on the Graduate Admissions website

 

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS DEADLINES [F-1 Visa]

  1. Deadline to Apply and Submit all required documents to

SUMMER 2017

 

YEARLONG RESIDENCY CREDENTIAL PROGRAM ("YRP")

 


Domestic Applicants Priority Deadline: March 16, 2017

  • Applicants who submit all Application Requirements (including a copy of your passed CSET scores) to Teacher Education by March 16 can be considered for the Yearlong Residency Program (YRP).

    There is an interview process for acceptance into the Yearlong Residency Program. Interviews will be scheduled as applications are received. 
    • Early applications are highly recommended.

    • An Additional Requirement of the Yearlong Residency program:
      Include a cover letter (one page, single spaced) outlining teaching and related experiences/skills you believe make you a good candidate for the Yearlong Residency Program.

  • Deadline to apply to Graduate Admissions: March 16, 2017
  • IMPORTANT NOTE: If you apply for the Summer Yearlong Residency Program (YRP), and do not get accepted to that program, you may apply for the Fall semester.
    • You will then need to apply again to Graduate Admissions for the Fall semester (and pay the application fee again) but you will not need to re-submit any documents to the Department of Teacher Education.

  • Graduate Admissions Document Deadline (for transcripts and other required documents): March 16, 2017
  • Do not adhere to deadlines on the Graduate Admissions website. Adhere to our deadlines on this page - our deadline is earlier. 

 

Domestic Applicants EXTENDED DEADLINE: March 31, 2017

  • Applicants who cannot meet the Priority Deadline can still submit their Application Requirements (including applying to and being referred to us by Graduate Admissions) any time up until April 6.  
  • However, by missing the priority deadline, you will not be guaranteed a spot in the program.

 

International Applicants Deadlines:

  1. Deadline to submit all Application Requirements to the Department of Teacher Education (SH 305): March 16, 2017
  • Deadline to apply to Graduate Admissions: February 1, 2017
  • IMPORTANT NOTE: If you apply for the Summer Yearlong Residency Program (YRP), and do not get accepted to that program, you may apply for the Fall semester.
    • You will then need to apply again to Graduate Admissions for the Fall semester (and pay the application fee again) but you will not need to re-submit any documents to the Department of Teacher Education.

INTERNSHIP CREDENTIAL PROGRAM

 


Domestic Applicants PRIORITY DEADLINE: March 16, 2017

  • Applicants who submit all Application Requirements (including a copy of your passed CSET scores) to Teacher Education by March 16 will have first priority of being considered for the Internship Credential Program which begins classes in Summer 2017.
      • ONE ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT FOR THIS PROGRAM IS...
        Include a cover letter (one page, single spaced) outlining teaching and related experiences/skills you believe make you a good candidate for the Internship Program.

Domestic Applicants Deadlines:

  1. Deadline to submit all Application Requirements to the Department of Teacher Education (SH 305): March 16, 2017
  • Deadline to apply to Graduate Admissions: March 16, 2017

FALL 2017

SINGLE SUBJECT CREDENTIAL PROGRAM ("Flexible Program")

Priority Deadline: March 15, 2017

  • Applicants who submit all Application Requirements to Secondary Education by the Priority Deadline of March 15, 2017 can be considered for admission in time to register for classes during the advanced registration period.
  • This guarantees the greatest flexibility in program planning and class scheduling. In addition, applicants who meet the Priority Deadline are eligible to be considered for the Yearlong Residency Program option which begin in Summer '17 (see details above, under the "Summer 2017" heading).

Domestic and International Priority Application Deadlines

1. Deadline to Apply and Submit all required documents: 

  • To Graduate Admissions (at the Student Services Center): March 15, 2017
  • NOTE: Adhere to our March 15 Deadline.  Do NOT rely on the deadline on the Graduate Admissions website

 

Extended Deadline for Domestic Applicants: May 31, 2017

  • Applicants who cannot meet the Priority Deadline can still submit their Application Requirements (including applying to and submitting official transcripts Graduate Admissions) any time up until May 31, 2017. NOTE: Do NOT go by Graduate Admissions' document deadline of June 20th. Submit your official transcripts, and any other requirements they request, by May 31st.
  • By missing the priority deadline, you will not be guaranteed a flexible program and class schedule, and may have to do a part-time load in your first semester.  You are advised to submit your application requirements as soon as possible as Program Plans and class scheduling are subject to availability.

 

Extended Deadline for International Applicants:

  • Applicants who cannot meet the Priority Deadline can still submit their items by the following deadlines...
      • Deadline to apply to Graduate Admissions: April 1, 2017
      • Document Deadline to Graduate Admissions (Student Services Center): April 20, 2017
      • Deadline to submit all Application Requirements to the Department of Teacher Education (SH 305): May 31, 2017
  • By missing the priority deadline, you will not be guaranteed a flexible program and class schedule, and may have to do a part-time load in your first semester.  You are advised to submit your application requirements as soon as possible as Program Plans and class scheduling are subject to availability.
