Single Subject INTERN Credential Program no longer offered

Unfortunately, as of February 27th, 2013 the two-year SJSU Single Subject Internship Credential Program will be on hiatus beginning Summer 2013 pending further notice about program funding.  Due to this change, San Jose State University will no longer admit intern applicants.

CURRENT SECONDARY ED STUDENTS WHO HAVE BEEN OFFERED AN INTERN JOB:
Although the Intern Credential Program will be on hiatus, candidates who are current students and have already completed Phase I Student Teaching and specific coursework in the Single Subject Credential Program may qualify to teach on an Intern Credential if offered a teaching contract by a local school district.  This, however, will be determined on a case-by-case basis  upon consultation with the program director.  If you are a student who is currently in our program who has already taken Phase I Student Teaching and have been offered an Intern job, please call the SecEd office at 408-924-3755 to schedule an appointment with Dr. Felton.
