The Single Subject Credential program is a community of professors and students that makes major contributions to public and private education in northern California and beyond. As a member of the Connie L. Lurie College of Education, we are dedicated to the theme of equity and excellence. It is our goal to prepare educators who can function effectively and sensitively in the multicultural, multilingual, and technologically complex environment of California 's secondary schools. The Single Subject Credential Program strives to provide opportunities for candidates to address and attain the following Student Learning Outcomes:
Individuals admitted to the Single Subject Credential Program bring with them many and varied life experiences which contribute to a rich learning environment. It is our hope that candidates admitted to our program will be active learners while in the program and seize every opportunity to develop the professional knowledge, skills and approaches exhibited by successful teachers.
