At its meeting of November 21, 2005, the Academic Senate passed the following Senate Management Recommendation presented by Senator Parsons for the Organization and Government Committee.

SENATE MANAGEMENT RESOLUTION

ADDING MEMBERS TO THE INSTITUTIONAL REVIEW BOARD (IRB) HUMAN SUBJECTS

Whereas, the workload of the Institutional Review Board Human Subjects has increased significantly, and

Whereas, the membership of the IRB Human Subjects is having difficulty keeping up with that workload, and

Whereas, the majority of the proposals to the IRB Human Subjects come from the Colleges of Education, Social Sciences, and Applied Sciences and Arts, therefore be it

Resolved, that an additional faculty member be added to the IRB Human Subjects from each of the Colleges of Education, Social Sciences, and Applied Sciences and Arts.
