At its meeting of November 20, 2006, the Academic Senate passed the following Senate Management Resolution presented by Senator Chris Hebert for the Organization and Government Committee.

 

SENATE MANAGEMENT RESOLUTION

DELETION OF STANDING RULE 17

 

 

Whereas,       Senate By-Law 2.21 specifies the procedure for electing and the term of service of policy committee chairs and,

 

Whereas,       Standing Rule 17 also specifies election procedures of policy committee chairs and,

 

Whereas,       By-Laws have greater governing authority than Standing Rules, so be it

 

RESOLVED, Standing Rule 17 be deleted and,

 

RESOLVED, the Standing Rules be renumbered to reflect the deletion of Standing Rule 17.
