At its meeting of May 15, 2006, the Academic Senate passed the following Senate Management Resolution presented by Senator Parsons for the Organization and Government Committee.

SENATE MANAGEMENT RESOLUTION

AMENDMENT TO SENATE STANDING RULE 19

Whereas the Associate Vice Chair was recently, in the absence of the Senate Administrator, asked to take the minutes of the Academic Senate, and

Whereas there may possibly again be a need at some future time for such substitution, but the Senate rules do not assign this responsibility to anyone, now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED that Senate Standing Rule 19 c) be amended as follows:

Insert after the phrase “shall report Executive Committee proceedings to the Senate,” the words “shall, in the absence of the Senate Administrator, take the minutes of the Senate and Executive Committee,”.
