At its meeting of November 9, 1992, the Academic Senate approved the following Policy Recom-mendation presented by Bethany Shifflett.

REVIEW OF LOTTERY FUND PROPOSALS

Whereas, University Policy S87-8 (Allocation of Lottery Funds) was approved at a time when funding was provided for three system-wide programs, a discretionary allocations category, and an endowment augmentation, and the funds available were substantial; and

Whereas, This year the only funds available to enhance instruction come from the dis-cretionary category and amount to only $123,000; therefore, be it

Resolved, That this academic year (1992/93) the review process will be streamlined and include reviews from the Academic Vice President and Lottery Funds Committee which will be forwarded to the President for a final decision.
