At its meeting of November 1, 1999, the Academic Senate passed the following Policy Recommendation presented by Michael Katz for the Organization and Government Committee.

POLICY RECOMMENDATION

AMENDMENT OF BY-LAW 5.5

Recommendations for appointment to policy committees of student members of the Senate and student policy committee representatives shall be made transmitted to the Executive Committee Secretary of the Senate by caucus of the student members of the Senate the Associated Student’s Board of Directors, acting in accordance with the appointment rules and procedures of that organization. The recommendations of the caucus should be transmitted to the Secretary of the Senate by the second meeting of the new Academic Senate.
