ACTION BY COLLEGE PRESIDENT:

"Approved." Signed: Robert D. Clark, July 8, 1966.

ACTIVE DUTY FOR MILITARY TRAINING

(TEMPORARY ACTIVE DUTY NOT TO EXCEED 30 DAYS)

S 66-18

Faculty members ordinarily shall arrange to perform active duty for military training at times other than when they have college assigned responsibilities.

Where orders to active duty for training are issued by competent authority for a period of time during which the faculty member has college-assigned responsibilities there shall be an endorsement signed by the issuing officer which states that it is not possible for the reserve member to perform his training duty at a time when he does not have college assigned responsibilities.

In the absence of such an endorsement, faculty members who can show to the satisfaction of the School Dean that their responsibilities will be met may be permitted to accept orders to active duty for training for a period of time during which the faculty member has college assigned responsibilities.

*Temporary active duty not to exceed 30 days.
