PROPOSAL ON HIRING MINORITY FACULTY

S69-2

  1.  

1. Representatives chosen by a minority faculty will participate fully with the faculty and staff affairs committee of the Academic Council in the formulation of college policies governing the hiring of minority faculty.

2. When necessary and feasible, a support budget will be provided for these activities.

  1. All departmental recruiting committees, in departments having minority representation, will have minority faculty and/or minority student representation. Recruitment committees in departments without minority faculty or students will consult with minority representatives from the college at large.

  2. Implementation of the above will commence immediately.
