STUDENT EVALUATION OF TEACHING EFFECTIVENESS:

REPORTING WITH PERCENTILES TO BE REPLACED

S 83-12

WHEREAS, The faculty are predominately rated very good or outstanding, and the transformation of scores to percentiles introduces the possibility of improper negative interpretation; and

WHEREAS, The magnification of scores with percentiles is potentially misleading and subject to further misinterpretation; therefore, be it



RESOLVED, That percentiles should not be generated.
