At its meeting of March 14, 1988, the Academic Senate approved the following Policy Recommendation presented by Marilyn Blockus for the Organization and Government Committee.

RESOLVED |
| That a new By-Law 12 be approved, to read as follows: |
| 12. Appointments to off-Campus Bodies |
| 12.1 Where no other procedure for their designation is prescribed and f aculty participation in selection is required or permitted, SJSU faculty, as defined in the Academic Senate Constitution, representatives on system-wide or other off-campus agencies or committees (bodies not established by or under authority of SJSU) shall be appointed by the Academic Senate on nomination of the Executive Committee. If no other term is specified, such appoint- ments shall be for a term of three years or the life of the body, whichever is the shorter time. |
