EDUCATIONAL EQUITY ADVISORY BOARD
I. Resolved,
1. The Educational Equity Advisory Board is a special agency reporting to the President.
2. a) The Board's charge is to assist the President in identifying the educational equity needs of present and prospective students and faculty and in developing action to address such needs, including recruitment and retention of underrepresented groups.
b) The President shall act on Board recommendations in consultation with appropriate Academic Senate committees, and, if university policy is affected, with the approval of the Senate.
3. a) The following shall be ex officio members of the Board: Academic Vice President, Executive Vice President, Vice President for Student Affairs, Chair of the Academic Senate, Associated Students Director of Ethnic Affairs, Director of Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action, Associate Dean of Undergraduate Studies for Educational Equity, Chair of the Outreach Coordinating Council, Chair of the Retention Coordinating Council, and Chair of the Faculty Enhancement Facilitators.
b) The following Board members shall be appointed by the President with the approval of the Senate for two-year terms: one representative of the Council of Deans, three representatives of campus minority groups, three representatives of community minority organizations, two representatives of local public schools.
c) An additional student member shall be appointed by the President in consultation with the Associated Students President.
d) The Academic Vice President shall be Chair.
4. The Board shall meet at the call of the Chair or of the President.

By-Law 9.2 is amended by addition of the following:

At its meeting of February 3, 1992, the Academic Senate approved the following Policy Recommendation presented by Cecilia Mullen for the Organization and Government Committee.

Resolved, That section 3.a) of F87-3 be amended as follows:
3.a) The following shall be ex officio members
