S98-11 GENERAL EDUCATION PROGRAM GUIDELINES

At its May 11, 1998 meeting, the Academic Senate approved the following Policy Recommendation presented by Don Keesey for the Curriculum and Research Committee.

Policy Recommendation
GENERAL EDUCATION PROGRAM GUIDELINES
| Whereas, | The Board of General Studies has been
charged by the Academic Senate to produce guidelines
consistent with the new General Education requirements
approved by the Academic Senate (S96-9), and |
| Whereas, | The Board of General Studies has now
produced a set of guidelines consistent with those new
requirements, and |
| Whereas, | These guidelines have been modified in
response to suggestions made at two open hearings and at
two meetings of the University Curriculum Committee, now
therefore be it |
| Resolved, | That the Academic Senate approve the attached General Education Program Guidelines. |
