Swipe Out Hunger - Meal Donation Program

Giving a meal means a lot

SSwipe Out Hungertudents facing food insecurity can take on many forms. Assisting can be a simple as proving a few meals in the dining commons.

SJSU Cares & Spartan Eats (Chartwells) has teamed up to help Swipe Out Hunger at SJSU.

This meal plan donation program allows SJSU meal plan users to donated up to 5 meals in the Commons from their meal plan this spring 2019 semester.  Spartan Eats will match every meal donated too! Donated meals go into a pool which can be used to provide access to the Commons to students who might otherwise go hungry today.

UPDATE:  The Swipe Out Hunger program has ended for as of the Spring 2019 academic term and is not able to operate in the summer as the Common is not in continual operation for students.  If you are experiencing food inseucirty and would like to meet 1:1 with a case manger please reach out to economiccrisis@sjsu.edu to schedule a meeting.
