Center for Community Learning and Leadership
The Center for Community Learning & Leadership (CCLL) can assist faculty and students in connecting to partner organizations and community initiatives that can facilitate community-based research. Current CCLL initiatives include restoration of the Coyote Creek watershed, addressing County homelessness through advocacy and support, and shepherding SJSU's creation of a National Heritage Area for Silicon Valley.
CCLL supports various forms of High Impact Educational Practices by facilitating partnerships with organizations and promoting initiatives county-wide. It interfaces with campus entities and programs on events and outreach. It is the campus liaison to the California State University for input/output and reporting.
CCLL teams with the Office of Graduate and Undergraduate Programs (GUP) to implement the SJS4 (Supporting Students and Service Sites) database for tracking and reporting community engagement while managing risks.
