The Child Welfare Research Collaborative (CWRC) is comprised of faculty at San Jose State University’s School of Social Work who work collaboratively with community partners to conduct research on child welfare issues. Projects conducted by members of the CWRC focus on a variety of topics, including:
Projects conducted by members of the CWRC are funded from a variety of sources and are developed and conducted in collaboration with county child welfare systems, public social service systems, policy-makers and families and youth involved in the child welfare system.
In addition to conducting collaborative research with community partners, the CWRC also seeks to disseminate current knowledge and information that can inform child welfare practice and policy.
