Subject Matter Competency
How long do I have before I need to have subject mattercompetency?
You can be admitted into the program without subject matter competency, however, you have one year from the date of admission to complete subject matter competency, either by coursework or by examination. (CSET is the one for California)
How long are passing CSET, SSAT and Praxis scores valid?
Passing scores on CSET, SSAT and Praxis are valid for 5 years from the date of the test. Thus, you must complete the program of studies for Level I within that time frame, or you will have to retake the exam.
