Minor in Special Education
Students that are currently enrolled as an undergraduate at San Jose State University can choose to minor in Special Education.
Required Courses (12 units):
- EDSE 218A (3 units): Autism Spectrum Disorders: Moderate to Severe Disabilities
- EDSE 104 (3 units): Atypical Development in Young Children --OR--
EDSE 108 (3 units): Assessment and Evaluation of Atypical Children
- EDSE 216A (3 units): Teaching Reading and Language Arts to Students
- EDSE 202 (3 units): Speech, Languag, & Typical, Atypical Development
In order to receive a minor in Special Education, you must declare your minor with the university and have it signed off by the department by filling out the following forms and turning them into their respective departments.
